Campsite virtual tours: 7 solutions in 2026
A campsite does not have the same problem as a flat: it has to show distances, not rooms, and absorb a traffic spike over three weeks. Seven solutions judged on those two criteria.
Most virtual-tour comparisons are written for property. A campsite does not have the same problem: it does not sell rooms, it sells distances - the shade, the metres to the pool, the noise from the road. And it takes its traffic over three weeks, not twelve months.
Those two peculiarities are enough to rule out half the platforms on the market. Here is what the seven that remain are worth, with prices recorded in August 2026.
The two criteria that decide, for a campsite
The first is extent. A tour designed for interiors strings viewpoints together at eye level: you move from reception to the shower block, then to the pitch. On three hectares, that movement teaches you nothing - the holidaymaker wants first of all to locate things. That is what an aerial virtual tour gives in one look.
The second is seasonality. A campsite takes its bookings between January and March. In that window, a tour that works can take several thousand views in a few days. Three platforms in the panel bill beyond a ceiling: that is the exact moment the invoice arrives.

The seven solutions, one by one
1. Moorea - to show the ground, not the buildings
Who it is for: a campsite whose argument is the place itself - the shade, the lake two hundred metres away, the pool set apart from the busy pitches.
The tour opens on an aerial view and navigation happens on the campsite’s satellite map, with each viewpoint placed where it actually is. The campsite template adds the cards per zone and the booking link.
Limits: we have no dedicated indoor camera. A lodge photographs very well in 360, but if your main need is a room-by-room interior tour, Matterport does it better.
Price: free to try, then €9, €19 or €39 excl. VAT a month. Unlimited views and bandwidth, no expiry.
2. Klapty - to publish tonight, on a small budget
Who it is for: a campsite that wants a tour online quickly, with no editorial project.
Simple interface, picked up in an hour, reliable hosting. It is the cheapest of the panel to get into.
Limits: the free tier stops at one tour and 100 views a month, and beyond the paid quota the overage is billed. For a seasonal venue, that is exactly the wrong model.

3. Panoraven - for personal or club use
Who it is for: an individual, an association, a non-commercial project.
Unlimited tours on every tier, immediate to pick up.
Limits: the ceiling is on bandwidth (20, 50 or 100 GB a month) and on the number of images per tour (50 to 100). Above all, the free tier is barred to companies and associations: a campsite is not entitled to it.

4. Matterport - for interiors, and only for those
Who it is for: a campsite that wants first of all to show inside its rental accommodation, lodges or chalets.
On that ground it is the reference: automatic meshing and the rendering of interior volumes have no equivalent.

5. 3DVista - to pay only once
Who it is for: a campsite that refuses subscriptions and has web hosting.
A perpetual licence at €499, a very complete editor, and you host the file yourself: nobody can switch your tour off.

6. Kuula - to publish panoramas, not a tour
Who it is for: a photographer who wants spheres online quickly.
Immediate publishing, an active community, a clean render.

7. A local provider, bespoke
Who it is for: a campsite that wants to delegate entirely, including the writing and the updates.
Plenty of agencies produce and host the tour for you, often with “free hosting for life” as the sales argument.
Limits: lifetime free hosting binds only whoever believes in it, and you own neither the account nor the files. The day the agency closes or changes its model, the tour goes with it.
What a campsite tour actually costs
The subscription is only one line of the budget, and the smallest. The capture job is the other, and it weighs ten times more.

Which campsites are better off elsewhere
Three cases where we are not the right choice, and it is better said.
You mostly rent lodges and want to show the interior. Take Matterport: the rendering of interior volumes is better, and its automatic meshing does the work for you.
Your campsite fits in one flat hectare, with no relief and no viewpoint. Aerial adds little. A ground-level tour on Klapty at €14.90 does the job.

Frequently asked
Do we have to close the campsite for the shoot? No, but the flight has to happen with no public on the ground. In practice that means early morning, out of season, or on a closing day. The applicable rules are set out in our guide Flying over a campsite or a golf course: the 2026 rules.
How many viewpoints does a campsite need? Six to twelve cover a campsite of normal size: the entrance, the pool, each pitch zone, the facilities, and the wide shot that places it all. Below six, the tour stops showing distances - which are precisely the argument.
